Greywall Club

Homeowners Group

Dear Greywall Club Residents,
Girl Scout Troop 391 is volunteering to do a charity holiday food drive again this year. Our neighborhood food drives the last couple years have been a big success and the Girl Scouts do a great job of organizing and collecting the food from the residents. This is a community service project for the girls and we are hoping for your support again this year!
The holiday food drive donations will benefit Harvest Weekend which is sponsored by Hope Lutheran Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, and Christian Life Center. They then deliver to local food pantries. Joliet Morning Star Mission Ministries, a shelter for the hungry and homeless, is one of the recipients. With the continued downturn in the economy and high unemployment, there are many people suffering and in need of help. Acceptable contributions should be non-perishable such as canned goods, pasta, rice, etc.
On Saturday, November 12th, the Girl Scouts will attach a plastic grocery bag, with instructions attached, to your mailbox or doorknob (depending on the weather). The following week, on Saturday, November 19th starting at 10:00 AM, they will pick-up the grocery bag containing your donated items. Please place your bag of donations on your front step for easy pick-up. If you miss the pick-up or your donation is overlooked please call Karla Budz (815-439-1931) or Rosemarie Haseltine (815-436-5580) so arrangements can be made to collect your donated items. The girls will then deliver the donations.
Any help you can give to this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated.

Please contact city council and let them know we do not want any cuts to our public safety.  They are talking about removing the ambulance at Station #9 on Caton Farm Rd.  City Council can be reached at 815-724-3718.

Special Alert

Hi All,
I have been informed that we have at least one coyote in the neighborhood. One was spotted the other morning about 5:30am by a resident walking his dog. The coyote became aggressive and the resident kicked it twice and screamed at it before it ran off. This incident happened near the duplexes at the corner of Tremont and Greywall Blvd. I have also heard that a resident has seen one (or more?) walking behind the single family homes near Greywall Blvd. Please be careful and if you have small children please be outside with them. The same goes with small dogs.
Alanna Kalter
There are also a pack of young ones (maybe a few months of age) and a mother...seen last week along back field behind Hanbury Ct, on other side of the creek. We also hear them often!

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com   you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!  It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?  Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do.  We can never say enough thank you's.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!
